A Bit of Buddha

All beings tremble
before violence.
All beings fear death.
All beings love life.

See yourself in others.
Then whom can you hurt?
What harm can you do?

He who seeks happiness
By hurting those
who seek happiness
Will never find happiness.

For your brother
is like you.
He wants to be happy.
Never harm him
And when you
leave this life
You too will find happiness.

(from the Dhammapada)

Comment:
We all suffer.

Our suffering is the same, no matter its manifestation.  The breath that we breathe is the same breath that is breathed by every living being.  We are all one.

The practice of Yin/Yang Yoga and Mindfulness Mediation enables us to begin to experience life in the present and precious moment—the only moment that exists.  When we begin to live in the present, mindful and aware, we begin to be able to bring along our afflictive states of fear, jealousy, and resentment onto the path.  And when we can begin to be mindful, aware, and awake to the truth of universal suffering and being, then we can begin to experience moments of true connection—to the divine light that is within each of us—and begin to experience moments of freedom.
