Śānti Yoga

The
sacred Sanskrit word Śānti (pronounced
'shaantee') is derived from the verb śam, meaning
'to be at peace'. Śānti
is the eternal principle of calm and repose. At Śānti
Yoga, our intention is the cultivation of inner peace
and contentment through the pratice of yoga and meditation.
We welcome you to come along with us on this journey.

First Annual ‘Practice-for-a-Cure’ Fundraiser
Saturday, June 7th, 9 am
Join us at the Spofford Pond School gym, in Boxford, Ma, behind Town Hall on Spofford Road, for a 90-minute yoga and meditation practice, all proceeds to benefit the Pan-Mass Challenge in support of cancer research at the Dana Farber Institute. Suggested minimum donation $25.
Michael Maguire is the designated cyclist; he rode the PMC in 2006, and then suffered a series of strokes and underwent brain surgery. He survived and recovered, to be told he might never ride his bike again. This year marks his second year riding post-stroke, and his commitment to this cause has only deepened, as he well understands the value of support in a time of need. You can read more about him on the ‘bio’ page of this website.
Make your participation in the ‘Practice-for-a-Cure’ your seva—selfless service to others, without thought of reward or recognition. Remember, we practice for the benefit of all beings…
No prior yoga or meditation experience necessary. Families welcome.
